“ Spicy wontons are out of this world. I have even been known to order extra to take home with me...shhhh. ”
“ Enjoyed a nice dim sum lunch here for Christmas. All of the food was very tasty, and we were so excited to dig in that I forgot to get photos of everything. The service was quick and everyone was very pleasant. We'll definitely be back to enjoy some other things on their menu. ”
“ Passing through on our way from Boston to Buffalo we decided to stop by Albany and pick this place to dine. From outside the place looks small and old, but to our surprise the inside is bright, clean and nice. Food is very good, we like all that we pick. Taiwanese rice pudding isn't a pudding, just gotta try it yourself. Dumplings taste great and the stewed beef chuck noodle is very good especially on a cold December rainy day. The beef chuck is very tender too. Service is great, very fast and very attentive. ”
“ We came on thanksgiving day and the staff was so friendly and the food was delicious! We were making a stop during a long car drive and we were thankful that this place was open! We got all 3 of the different hong kong baked rice dishes, a beef noodle soup and a spicy wonton. Everything was delicious and very homey. I particularly loved the beef noodle soup, just simple and comforting. Come Again? Yes! When I drive through albany again I will keep this place in mind! ”
“ Absolutely adore this place. Everytime a friend who enjoys noodles visits me, I order Taiwan Noodle. Their spicy wonton is heavenly and their beef chuck noodles are a bowl of joy and comfort. Unfortunately, I've only ever done pickup so I can't speak to the service in person but my order has never been incorrect. ”
“ Pretty happy to have found this solid mix of Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Taiwanese restaurant in Albany. No frills wontons, stewed beef chuck (tender and seasonings were deep!) and baked rice with pork chop. Very decent portion size and flavors, will definitely be back to try other items. ”
“ This place has arguably more Hong Kong cuisine than Taiwanese - but it can satisfy your desire for both. Quite a decent spot in Albany with fairly authentic dishes. The crispy fried pork intestine (which I forgot to take a photo) is really good - cleaned very well and fried very crispy. Loved the sweet and sour pork and spicy wontons too. ”
“ This restaurant offers such a wide selection of authentic Taiwanese and Hong Kong dishes. Milk tea boba and Thai tea served in mason jars with were really good. Taiwanese fried chicken was excellent! They have great flavor in the chicken, tender on the inside and perfect crispy on the outside. Def get it as an appetizer. Taiwanese stewed beef noodles was excellent! Tasted homemade, beef was super tender and broth was light but tasty! The noodles were deliciously prepared. Good slurpable and soaked up the flavor of the beef broth! Deep fried pork intestines were nice and crispy. It's either you love it or hate it kind of food. I think they would taste even better with mustard or hoisin dipping sauce. Steamed pork ribs and Chinese sausage in steamed basket. They came out pretty good. Rice was fluffy and has soaked up the flavor of the pork ribs and Chinese lap cheung. Would have been even better to have some sweet soy sauce. Spicy wontons were the best!!! Homemade wontons with good flavor of pork and shrimps inside thin wrappers!!! Would get these again for sure! Excellent sautéed seasonal veggies, bok choy! So soooo good! Service was good. We sat for a long time to chat and the waiters came by to fill our tea and water. Also never rush us to pay or leave. Ambiance of the restaurant was causal. The neighborhood wasn't great. The restaurant nestled in a rough area of the town. But good they have a small lot designated for the restaurant customers. ”
“ This is a great fine... of all places in Albany... lol Wrapped up my business trip and met up with my son for dinner in Albany. We picked this spot for some "close" to home cooking... cuz the college kid was missing home cook meals. Nice owners, small business, cozy spot, with enough tables to fit a few parties of 4s, 2s... combo of each. Decor is simple and clean. They give you hot tea during the milder-colder months. We order quite a few dishes to try, but noticed other patrons opted for their noodle dishes - so put that on the list for next time. -salt & pepper wings (pretty good) -hot & sour dumplings (it's ok, good sauce) -salt & pepper fish (this was yummy!) -choy sum with fresh garlic (delish!) -Eggplant with pork belly in claypot (didn't hit) Overall, a really good meal and we would return when in the area! Moderately priced - didn't break the bank. #collegeyelping #sunyalbany #yelplife ”
